25 Jul Tesco Ulster Junior Open
The Tesco Ulster Junior Open is one of the largest junior tournaments in Ireland with over 400 players last year. With more than 30 singles and doubles events ranging from Under 8 up to Under 21 there is something for everyone! As well as the main open events there are also novice events in both singles and doubles for players who are not as experienced when it comes to playing tournaments. The criteria for entering these events is that you must have been past the 2nd round in a Tennis Ireland tournament.
The Tesco Ulster Junior Open is part of the Nike Junior Tour in Ireland for Under 12 and Under 14s. Players competing in these events will gain points towards the Nike Junior Tour with the top player in each age group qualifying for the UK finals in London where they have the chance to compete for an all expenses paid trip to the International Masters final which was held in Florida last year. Previous winners of this event include current world number 1 Rafael Nadal.

For the third year Tesco is the title sponsor for the event and as part of their sponsorship will be providing the Tesco Finals Night Dinner on Saturday 1st August.

In the middle of the week there will also be the popular Tesco Winner Takes All Tiebreak competition where players of all levels play short tie-breaks for the winner-takes-all-prize. players are handicapped by age, events and seeding if any.
